Demon's Souls

General Info and Banned Criteria

• Any kind of help via summoning players or NPCs is not acceptable, and the run will be disqualified. Biorr of the Twin Fangs vs. the Penetrator is also not allowed.
• Unless required by the criteria for a run, it is not allowed to obtain items before it is usually possible. For example, giving yourself a boss weapon as soon as you start a regular SL1 run is unacceptable and will result in disqualification.

  Exceptions:

  • Ask the server mods for discussion or permission if there is the possibility of such.
  • Typically it is acceptable to use Cheat Engine to give yourself items required for an Expert run. For example, giving yourself a torch as soon as you start the game to complete a Torch-only run.
• Cheating and cheesing during gameplay is strictly not allowed. Turning on iframes, tumblebuffing, kills outside the bosses' arenas, messing with the stats, breaking the AI so it becomes unable to harm you… Any of this, or anything similar, will result in disqualification. Please ask if you are uncertain about what is allowed and what isn't.

Please check early and often with moderators/verifiers. Otherwise, you might end up with many redos that could have been avoided.

Adept Guidelines

For Demon's Souls Adept, we require all bosses to be defeated at Level 1 with screenshots/videos of the following:

• Your stats
• All bosses - Empty arenas and/or souls

If you used any boss souls for items, show them as well for proof. It is strongly recommended to not use boss souls just for souls, as you are effectively destroying your own proof.​

Expert Guidelines

Demon's Souls Expert requires a video recording of each boss fight with the following requirements:

• SL1 NG+5
• SL1 No Rolling/Blocking/Parrying​
• SL1 +0 Weapons, Normal Upgrade Path, No Bleed, No Toxic, No Poison
• SL1 Bare Fists only

Remember that Expert runs have bonus guidelines.

Show your stats, rings / equipment screen after killing the bosses. It is recommended to show souls obtained, especially for higher NG kills.

Master Guidelines

Master runs must be flawless (No damage taken/staggered by the boss). This includes status buildups that the boss directly causes; environmental status is allowed. Blocking with a shield counts as a hit.

• SL1 NG+5 No Rolling/Blocking/Parrying
  • Must be in Pure Black World Tendency.
  • Clever Rat Ring is allowed against Allant and Maneaters.

Bonus Guidelines for Expert and Master

• Tanking ban: Kills aren't expected to be flawless, but avoid excessive tanking. You might be asked to redo the kill (at the checker's discretion)
• Morion Blade is banned.
• Clever Rat Ring is banned for base NG unless stated otherwise.
• Second Chance is banned.
• Make sure not to unlock Biorr's cell in 1-2 to avoid him for Penetrator.
• Concealment, Thief's Ring and Cloak spell are banned. Note that this is allowed for areas.
• The following defensive/miracles are banned:
  • Protection
  • Warding
  • Water Veil
• Throwable damaging consumables such as firebomb are banned.
  • Buffs are fine.
